What’s on at Saltcotes Community Centre?

Our community centre in Saltcotes Place will be open for various activities for tenants and residents.

  • Drop in for a brew and toast

Come in for a warm drink, some toast and a friendly chat. Our Progress Futures team will also be available to discuss employment, training opportunities and apprenticeships.

Next dates:

27 September – 10am until 1.30pm

6 December, 10am until 1.30pm

  • Table Top Sale at Saltcotes Community Centre - Sunday 8 September, 10am until 12pm.

Organised by iHOPE Fylde.

Do you have any items to sell?

To book a stall, at £5, call Tracey Hope on 07513 347913. Set up from 9am.

All proceeds will go back into supporting the community.

  • Home and Storage Clean Out Day - Saltcotes Place and Saltcotes Road - Wednesday 11 September, 10.30am until 2.30pm

This is your opportunity to clear out and remove any items from your home or storage areas that you no longer require, giving you extra storage space.

Colleagues from Progress Housing Group will be on hand to help on the day.

  • Community Meeting - Saltcotes - Saltcotes Community Centre, Monday 16 September, 5.45pm for 6pm start.
Gather for a brew and chat to us about what you want to see happening in your area.

What else has been happening?

We are working with IHOPE, a community organisation run by one of our tenants, Tracey, to hold pre-loved pop-up events. People are invited to pick up any items for free, donate unwanted gifts, or pop in for a chat. We held our first one last December and they have been so successful, we have had some more in April and June.

Keep an eye out on the events session of our website and social media pages for future pre-loved pop-up events.

We have organised pebble painting and games during the February half term and card making and gift shops for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. We also held a community litter pick and Easter trail. You can read more here: Easter Fun | Progress Housing Group (progressgroup.org.uk)
