We’ve retained our G1/ V1 status!
This December, the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) has re-assessed us as part of its annual Stability Check process to ensure we meet regulatory standards in everything we do.
We are delighted to let you know that our status with the RSH remains unchanged, and we’ve retained our G1/V1 status. These are the highest standards possible.
You can read more about our G1/V1 result, here: Regulatory Judgement Progress Housing Group - December 2024
The judgement means that the RSH is confident that as a landlord we meet its governance (G1) and viability and financial strength requirements (V1) and that we have the financial capacity to deal with a wide range of adverse scenarios.
Debbie Atherton, Executive Director (Governance, People and Communications) said:
“Following the Stability Check completed in December 2024, the RSH notified us that it has refreshed its assessment of the Group’s delivery of the outcomes of the Regulatory Standards and that we have retained our G1 V1 status.
“It has advised this is based upon assurance obtained through the Stability Check process and other regulatory activity, such as our annual and quarterly financial submissions.
“Our G1/V1 status reflects the dedication and commitment of everyone across the Group to being a leading housing provider and to delivering our mission of homes, independence, and opportunities. Thank you for your continued hard work and focus on providing outstanding services to our tenants and customers.”
Prior to this regulatory judgement, in March 2024, we undertook an In-Depth Assessment (IDA) with the RSH – a rigorous assessment which took place every 3-4 years, which rates how we comply with economic and consumer standards. We were we were delighted to be graded G1/V1 thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Group as a whole to ensure we are financially viable, properly managed and provide excellent services to our tenants.
IDAs have since been replaced by the RSH’s new regulatory inspections programme from 1 April 2024, and a new consumer grade will only be issued following an inspection or extensive responsive engagement by the RSH.
