Progress Housing Group board members join frontline staff for a study day

Several of the Group's board members recently took part in a study day to experience first-hand the services we provide and their impact on our tenants and communities.

The day provided an opportunity to spend time with colleagues from various departments across the organisation helping them to gain a deeper insight into their work and the customers they serve.

Throughout the day, they visited The Base community centre; the Key Unlocking Future office and drop-in centre, Foundations (supported housing accommodation in Preston for people who have experienced homelessness); an RWP-supported living scheme; Clare House women's refuge; Progress Lifeline and the Customer Contact Centre teams.

They also looked around void properties and planned investment works. Each visit aimed to showcase the challenges and achievements of colleagues, the services provided and their impact on communities.

The Non-Executive Directors and the Group Chair, Sheena McDonnell, expressed their gratitude to the colleagues who spent time showing them their area of the organisation, and helping them to gain a greater understanding of the Group's operations.

Sheena said: "I had a great day getting to know dedicated team members who work tirelessly to support our tenants and communities. Seeing the positive impact of our services first-hand was incredibly inspiring."

Non-Executive Director, Neil Townsend, added: "It's one thing to read about the work we do, but it's another to witness it in action. I am very proud of the work the Group does, our colleagues, and the difference they make in our communities every day."
