New Year, New You event

Tenants are invited to our 'New Year, New You' event at The Base II, Bannister Drive, Leyland, on Thursday 6 February, from 10am to 2pm.

Our friendly team can help you put a plan together to achieve your goals. Our team will also be available to help with writing and updating CVs, and any other related questions you may have.

Cost of living tips and information sessions

Do you want a £10 shopping voucher or a FREE small kitchen appliance?
Join our free information sessions at The Place Community Centre, Royal Avenue, Leyland in January and February.
  • Calculating Energy Bills – Thursday 30 January 1pm – 3pm - FREE £10 voucher for all attendees
  • Online Shopping Deals – Thursday 13 February 1pm – 3pm - get a small kitchen appliance* for attending this and the next 2 sessions
  • Meals/Cooking on a Budget – Thursday 20 February 1pm – 3pm
  • Employability Support – Thursday 27 February 1pm – 3pm

New Digital Workshop

Starting fortnightly from Thursday 6 March (1st and 3rd Thursday of the month)

At The Place Community Centre, Royal Avenue, Leyland.

We can help you with:

  • Learning the basics about a computer
  • Getting online, including how to send emails
  • Building digital skills
  • Improving your knowledge on Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams etc

 

Job Clubs 

Progress Futures job clubs are held on a weekly basis, free to attend and open to all members of the community.  

We offer access to laptops, Wi-Fi, tea, coffee and support from the team should you need it. 

  • Tuesdays - 10am to 12pm - The Paddock Room, South Ribble Council Offices, West Paddock, PR25 1DH
  • Wednesdays - 10am to 12pm - The Place Community Centre, 73 Royal Avenue, PR25 1BX
  • Thursdays - 10am to 12pm - The Base on Broadfield II Community Centre, Bannister Drive, Leyland, PR25 2GD
  • Fortnightly Fridays - 9.30am to 11.30am (1st & 3rd Friday – starting 7 February) - Christian Community Larder, St Aidan’s Community Hub, Station Road, Bamber Bridge, PR5 6QR
  • Last Friday of every month - 10am to 12pm - Kirkham Family Hub and The Zone, Chapel Walks, Kirkham, PR4 2TA
