Have your say | Survey on social housing stigma

Stop Social Housing Stigma has launched a survey to evaluate the support within the sector in recognising and addressing the stigma that social housing tenants experience.

How can the social housing sector address stigma?

Stop Social Housing Stigma has launched a survey to evaluate the support within the sector in recognising and addressing the stigma that social housing tenants experience.

The survey also seeks your thoughts on what useful tools will help to take further action.

Take the survey here: Social Housing Stigma Survey - Stop Social Housing Stigma

The survey will take around 20 minutes to complete. The results will remain anonymous and will be collated by Durham University.

The group, which is made up of tenants, plan to:

  • Evaluate the implementation and impact of the recommendations made by the reports on social housing stigma.
  • Develop a large publicity campaign to adopt a pledge to address stigma, locally by each landlord, or by area/estate/community.
  • Provide practical help for landlords, through a detailed toolkit, which will include, self-assessments; action plans; case studies and policies on how to address stigma locally, which will work across England.
